Warehouse management

3PL warehouse management software for small and midsize warehouses

Storely brings client inventory, warehouse work, and billing into one web application. It is designed for third-party logistics operators who manage stock and fulfillment on behalf of multiple clients.

Pre-launch. Storely is preparing for production launch. Discuss availability and requirements with us before planning a rollout. Shopify, Amazon, Walmart, and eBay integrations are planned and are not live yet.

What makes a WMS useful for a 3PL?

A third-party logistics warehouse manages goods for several businesses. Its warehouse management system needs to keep each client's products, inventory, orders, and charges distinct while giving warehouse staff a shared operational workflow. Storely's documented workflows connect receiving, inventory allocation, picking, and invoice generation around that client context.

Follow inventory from receiving to fulfillment

  1. Set up clients and products. Create the client record, import its catalog, and include barcodes so floor scans can match the right products.
  2. Receive into warehouse locations. Record incoming goods and use the receiving workflow to confirm quantities. Finalizing a shipment is a separate step from receiving.
  3. Allocate inventory to orders. Reserve stock for outbound work. First-expiry, first-out allocation prioritizes inventory by expiry; partial allocation flags a shortage for follow-up.
  4. Group picks into waves. Combine allocated orders into a pick run, then confirm items using a compatible phone camera or keyboard-wedge scanner.
  5. Review charges and invoices. Use each client's rate card for storage, receiving, outbound work, and special handling. Finalization triggers receiving and outbound charges.

Read the receiving guide and orders and fulfillment guide for the documented steps.

Keep client records separate

Storely separates inventory and operational records by client within your warehouse account. Each 3PL account has its own dedicated operational database. Account administration and underlying service infrastructure may be shared; database separation does not mean every infrastructure component is dedicated.

Understand the planned plans

Planned Basic pricing is $399 per month for one warehouse and up to 250 clients. Planned Pro pricing is $1,599 per month for two warehouses and up to 1,000 clients. Both list unlimited warehouse users and orders. Pro adds the client portal, advanced reporting and lot trace, API access and webhooks, and QuickBooks Online sync. Additional warehouses and modules have separate fees.

Check fit before selecting your warehouse system

  • Client workflows: which receiving, inventory, picking, and billing rules must the warehouse support?
  • Order sources: Shopify, Amazon, Walmart, and eBay connections are not live yet. Do not plan an automated marketplace rollout around them today.
  • Shipping: in-app labels and rate shopping are planned. Discuss the label workflow your operation requires.
  • Client access: decide whether clients need the Pro portal or staff will enter their orders.
  • Rollout: Storely is pre-launch. Agree on availability, validation, and setup before moving production operations.

Can I use existing scanners?

The documented scanning workflow accepts compatible phone cameras and keyboard-wedge hardware scanners. Test your devices, barcodes, lighting, and warehouse network as part of evaluating fit. The mobile guide explains floor workflows and scanner setup.
